~ Chef~
- Extensive knowledge of all aspects of the operations of a kitchen
- Able to plan and delegate job tasks to the junior staff
- Able to mentor and coach junior chefs
- Plan and direct food preparations
- A large part of their duties are administrative involving staff scheduling, supervision, disciplining and even working out incentive schemes.
- Planning menus
- Ensuring food quality and taste is highest standard
- Managing inventory of stock and ordering raw materials
- Controlling budgets and minimizing wastage
- Maintaining health and hygiene in the kitchen
- Organizing duty roster of the staff
- Recruiting, training and developing staff
~ Assistant Cook ~
- Assisting in food preparation, cleaning, cutting, chopping and peeling food ingredients
- Cleaning and sanitizing the food preparation areas
- Washing, disinfecting and properly storing cooking and kitchen utensils and equipment
- Buying, weighing and storing ingredients and food supplies
- Operating a variety of kitchen appliances and instruments including cutters, knives, mixers and ovens
- Managing inventory, unloading supplies and organizing the storeroom
- Stay up to date with health codes
~ Server/Food Assembler ~
- Engage with guests in a respectable and courteous manner
- Assemble food as ordered by the customers
- Reliable and Trustworthy to handle Cash Register & Credit Card Reader
- Must be knowledgeable with wifi & bluetooth connections and be able to troubleshoot as needed
- Well maintained hygiene and professional appearance
- Must wear appropriate kitchen wardrobe, aprons & hair nets will be provided
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
- Valid and clean Driver’s License
- Must speak English, however, bilingual is preferred
~ Banquet Server ~
- Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
- Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
- Set up table with linen, plate, service ware and glassware.
- Serve food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation of the Supervisor to ensure consistency throughout the banquet.
- Promptly remove dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal at the end of the meal or function.
- Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products
- Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
- Ability to operate beverage equipment, e.g., coffee maker, Chaffing Dish, etc…
- Replenish beverages as necessary
- Be a team player and comply with attendance rules and be available to work on events as a contractor.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
- Attend all meetings before events to be informed of event specifics to job.
- Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
